Each lesson begins with warm-ups and scales, as well as breathing exercises. Fitness and diet are also addressed in lessons (Terry was as certified personal trainer for 8 years). As far as she is concerned, “your body is your instrument”.

Terry teaches students to part of a song in the first lesson. After students learn their first few “riffs”, she then proceeds with finger exercises and introducing the notes on the guitar.
